Goldenphant: An Etymological Tale |
|
An Etymological Tale:
Golden-(German-A soft, yellow, corrosion-resistant element, the most malleable and ductile metal, occurring in veins and alluvial deposits.)
(Slavic branch- zlato shines and resonates like the sun/sol.)
Phant- (Greek: manifest; show, appear, make appear, visible, display; visible; to show [through], to shine [through]; illustrious)
Goldenphant is an expression of the source. The movement found within these expressed ideas malleably make visible all that has been, is, and will always be.
The word Waponi originates from Ecuadorian natives called the Waorani. The word stands for beauty, which they further define to mean all that is in balance. This to me, exemplifies the essence of life.
My work plays on the effects of the balanced and imbalanced states of being. May Goldenphant be an invitation to your own exploration of these states.
